NC software firm to add 80 jobs in $3.46M expansion

Superion is going to increase its North Carolina head count by a third over the next three years as it expands the reach of its public sector software.

The firm, which has an existing operation in High Point, will receive some $160,000 in state tax incentives through a One North Carolina Grant. Local partners must match the state grant.

Superion provides software solutions that address the specialized needs of local, state and federal governments; public safety, according to Crunchbase.

Formerly known as SunGard Public Sector, ots name was changed to Superion by Vista Equity Partners which acquired the company on Feb. 1. Its headquarters is located in Florida. 

The firm's website lists 12 open positions at High Point.

Gov. Roy Cooper announced the expansion Thursday.

Superion says it will add 80 jobs. It currently employs 155 people.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our operations in High Point and building out a national Center of Excellence for our public safety software business,” said Simon Angove, Chief Executive Officer of Superion, in a statement. “The business-friendly environment and access to a wealth of technical talent means we’ve enjoyed a lot of success in Guilford County.”
